Friendships Books & More
*What are fbs?

Fb stands for friendships book.  They are  little booklets that contain pen pal ads made by people seeking new pen pals and swappers and it's a great way to find new pals and/or swappers.

What do I do with an fb when I get one?

When you get an fb, you write down your name, address and a little information about yourself such as:  your age, hobbies, and where you want pals, etc..  You may also want to include the type of pals or swappers you're looking for.  Try to pass them along quickly.  Don't take longer than a month because it takes a while to get an fb back (a year or more) and holding them makes them take a lot longer.

Who should I send fbs to?

You send fbs to your pen pals and swappers.  Mainly, people who are looking for more pals and swappers.  You shouldn't send fbs to inmates because many don't like to have people from prision write to them, myself included.  Also, I've heard  reports that it's bad to send fbs to Ghana and West Africa because they sell them on the black market, so don't send fbs there either.  Other than that, it's perfectly fine to send fbs to any of your pals and/or swappers who are interested.

How do I make an fb?

To make an fb, get a few sheets of paper.  It can be nice paper or plain, just make sure you don't use to much paper because then it'll be heavy and it'll take longer to get back to you.  Now, on the cover of the fb, write:

If you're making it for yourself write:

Friendship Book (or FB)

For and by:  (Your name and address, age, hobbies, what you're looking for)

If you're making it for a friend write:

For:  (Name, address, age, hobbies, etc...of the person you're making it for)
By:  (Your name, address, age, hobbies, etc...)

Once this is done, send it on to one of your pen pals or swappers and they'll write a pen pal ad, then they'll send it to someone else, they'll do the same and so on. The last person to sign an fb is supposed to send it back to the owner.

How long will it take?

Fb's generally take up to a year or two to fill depending on the size, which is why when making an fb you should keep it small.  No more than four pages.  Also, try not to exceed the size of a standard size envelope.  Fb's this big can be costly to send and will take a while to get back to you.  There're also more likely to get lost.  Finally, keep it neat.  People like to sign nice neat fb's.
Deco Fbs
Deco fb's are the same as fbs except there're decorated a lot much.  Usually people who sign will take up the entire page and decorate it as well.
Lyrix Fbs
Lyrix fbs are like regular fbs except you add some song lyrics to it as well as writing your name, address.
Friendships Sheets
Friendships Sheets are the same as fbs except it is a sheet of paper that you sign on instead of a booklet.
Crams
Crams are the same as fbs except you sign on a small piece of paper and you are trying to cram as many addresses as you can.  On crams, you don't write any info about yourself because it'll take up space.  Some crams are for address labels only.
Slams
Slams are booklets that are also like fbs.  You have the first page as a sign in page.  Then on each page is a question for you to answer and you answer each question next to your number.  Example:  If you are the fourth person to sign then you'll number will be number four.
Exchange Slips
Exchange slips are like chain letters.  In most exchange slips, you're supposed to make a certain amount of fbs for the first person listed on the exchange slip.  You take their name off the list and you add your name to the list.  For example:

1)  Kim
2)  Joe
3)  Bob

You would make fbs for kim, take her off the list and you would now move everyone up one and you would add yourself to the list.

1)  Joe
2)  Bob
3)  You
